Official Rules

Prize Package includes:

  • 2 drawings for 4 Blue Sky Chalet tickets to the 2010 Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger for Sunday, July 18, 2010.
  1. To Enter: No purchase necessary; limited to one entry per person. Sweepstakes entry deadline for first drawing is July 9, 2010 at 11:59 PM EST; drawing to be held on July 10, 2010. Sweepstakes entry deadline for second drawing is July 15, 2010 at 11:59 PM EST; drawing to be held on July 16, 2010.  All members of the official 2010 Vectren Dayton Air Show Facebook group will be entered for the drawing. Alternatively, entrants can mail their entry (including name, home address, home phone number and e-mail) to 2010 Vectren Dayton Soars Sweepstakes, c/o Herb Gillen Advertising, 2224 Dorset Rd., Columbus, OH 43221.  Registration forms with missing or incomplete information will not be accepted. 
  2. Eligibility: Sweepstakes open to all legal residents of the United States, 21 years of age or older as of July 10, 2010. Vectren Dayton Air Show staff, and their employees, carriers, contractors, distributors, wholesalers and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings) are not eligible to enter. One winner per household. Void where prohibited by law.
  3. Prize: Two (2) grand prizes will be awarded and each will include:
  • 4 Blue Sky Chalet tickets to the 2010 Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger for Sunday, July 18, 2010.

No substitution or cash equivalents are permitted.

  1. Drawing: The prize drawings will be held on July 10, 2010 & July 16, 2010. A random drawing from all eligible entries received will take place by a representative of the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger. Odds of winning will depend on number of entries received. Winners will be notified of results by July 11, 2010 & July 17, 2010 via e-mail.
  2. To Claim Prize: Winner only will be notified by e-mail.  Grand prize winner will be required to reply via e-mail within 24 hours to the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger. Forfeited Grand Prize will be awarded to a new winner until an eligible winner is found. Grand prize tickets from the first drawing will be shipped to winner by July 16, 2010.  Grand prize tickets from the second drawing will be distributed to winner at the show on July 18, 2010.
  3. Release: By acceptance of any Sweepstakes prize, winner agrees to release and hold forever harmless the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger, Facebook, their agents and representatives and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize or any travel in connection therewith.
  4. Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the U.S. District Court for Ohio or the appropriate Ohio State Court located in Montgomery County, Ohio under the laws of Ohio without regard to that state’s conflict of laws provisions.
  5. Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes.
  6. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes winner’s consent to Sponsor and its agents’ use of winners’ name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.
  7. Generally: The Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger will not collect or store information about Sweepstakes participants except for the information set forth on the entry form. Information transmitted to the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger by electronic mail or otherwise will generally be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and may be used by the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger as set forth in paragraph 9 above.
  8. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes and award the prizes from among eligible entries received prior to such action if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
